ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER - PLUMBING
The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for the complete life cycle of the execution of commercial plumbing projects by ensuring quality, efficiency, safety, profitability, and promoting company reputation.
The Assistant Project Manager will work directly to support the project manager & field superintendent in accordance with company policies and procedures to complete projects.
Duties and Expectations
- Manage all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs and project meeting minutes.
- Supervise and direct overall project activities as assigned by the Project Manager including planning and coordinating, circumventing / resolving problem areas, ensuring all company / project policies, procedures and standards are maintained, etc.
- Maintain all change order, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs.
- Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
- Responsible for tracking contract submittals, assuring they are accurate and timely.
- Track Subcontractors time / progress and assure they are complying with their contractual obligations.
- Responsible for the assembly and timely delivery of the Owner and Maintenance Manuals
- Ensure that the project quality control plan is in effect and followed.
- Interacts with Subcontractors / Vendors to make certain that we have obtained the correct documentation and drawing for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals
- Responsible for keeping the Warranty Log up to date.
- Represent company / project in meetings with client, subcontractors, etc.
- Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to area of responsibility.
- Monitor Field activities and progress.
- Create, manage, and disperse project documentation utilizing company’s Procore Software.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mechanical construction related APM role.
- Minimum 4 Years’ experience in commercial mechanical construction.
- Ability to read, analyze, and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Able to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
- Self-Driven and eager to learn.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Professionalism and conflict resolution
- OSHA 10 required, but OSHA 30 is desired.
SALARY : $65-85K
