A Senior Financial Analyst is professional-level position responsible for providing guidance and
direction of the research, planning, analysis, and reporting of the organization’s financial reporting and accounting
operations; as well as providing services to organizational leaders in support of the analysis functions in their
financial services department and its varied operations. In this role the incumbent routinely works with a high
level of self-initiative, authority, and responsibility in performing professional technical and operational
management following well-established procedures and demonstrating independent judgment in their execution.
The Senior Financial Analyst must possess an advanced and comprehensive knowledge, experience, and
understanding to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and informational resource on accounting and financial
operations of the organization; providing recommendations and solutions that will support effective and successful
decision-making by executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
Essential Job Functions :
Leads and directs the execution of all research and statistical analysis of organization’s financial
operations, cash flow, and budgets; directs the preparation and development of quarterly revisions and
reports; oversees the monitoring and evaluation of departmental and organizational budgets and cash
flow for appropriateness ensuring fiscal solvency and accountability.
Provides guidance, and direction of the research, analysis, and reporting of financial and accounting
operations of the organization, such as :
Minimum Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in an Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field from an approved and accredited
- college or university;
Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities :
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field from an approved and accredited
- college or university;
- Three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory position.
- Experience in a healthcare environment;
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA);
- Certified Financial Analyst (CFA).

related to the functions and responsibilities of the job.
Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations :
Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational
reassignments of the organization during the workday. If an employee is driving during work hours, the
employee is required to possess a valid driver’s license and must be in compliance with Arizona vehicle
insurance requirements.
