Job Title : CNC Machinist, open due to growth, for an expanding manufacturer with state of the art machining centers.
We are searching for a CNC machinist, anyone from operating capability to setup technicians, and also CNC programming experience is a bonus.
Job Summary : In this position you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications.
You will interpret technical drawings, adjust machine settings, and ensure that finished products meet quality standards.
Responsibilities :
- Set up CNC machines by installing and aligning fixtures, tools, and materials.
- Load materials into the machine and ensure proper positioning.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations.
- Program CNC machines using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software or adjust machine controls manually.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Troubleshoot issues with machines, tools, or materials and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Document production activities, including machine settings, tool changes, and inspection results.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist or similar role.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes.
- Familiarity with CAM software and G-code programming.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments and perform quality inspections.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to operate machinery and lift heavy materials.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
