Job Description

Job Title : CNC Machinist, open due to growth, for an expanding manufacturer with state of the art machining centers.

We are searching for a CNC machinist, anyone from operating capability to setup technicians, and also CNC programming experience is a bonus.

Job Summary : In this position you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications.

You will interpret technical drawings, adjust machine settings, and ensure that finished products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities :

  • Set up CNC machines by installing and aligning fixtures, tools, and materials.
  • Load materials into the machine and ensure proper positioning.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations.
  • Program CNC machines using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software or adjust machine controls manually.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Troubleshoot issues with machines, tools, or materials and perform routine maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
  • Document production activities, including machine settings, tool changes, and inspection results.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC machinist or similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes.
  • Familiarity with CAM software and G-code programming.
  • Ability to operate precision measuring instruments and perform quality inspections.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to operate machinery and lift heavy materials.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
