What You’ll Be Doing
As an Asset Manager at CIC Management, Inc., you will be responsible for managing affordable multi-family properties by analyzing the performance of each asset, developing plans to improve investment performance, and instructing the property management professionals accordingly.
Additionally, your tasks will include, but not be limited to :
- Ensuring the compliance, financial performance, and physical performance of Chelsea’s portfolio.
- Developing and managing the optimization strategy for portfolio NOI and economic benefit to Chelsea and Chelsea affiliates.
- Reviewing business plans for pipeline projects.
- Establishing and enforcing asset management benchmarks, policies, and procedures.
- Managing relationships with Chelsea’s property management agents.
- Managing relationships with Chelsea’s clients and partners and other stakeholders.
- Completing monthly review of financials and narratives.
- Preparing and presenting monthly summary reports to the Chelsea executive team.
- Performing site inspections annually and periodically visiting properties.
- Coordinating with outside agencies and other departments regarding Asset Management information.
What You’ll Need to Perform the Role
You’ll use your bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field, plus five (5) years of residential asset management and advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to be successful in this role.
You may also have an equivalent combination of education, training, and / or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill, and abilities have been attained.
Candidates with the following preferable experience may be considered for a Sr. Asset Manager role :
- In addition to the requirements listed above, three (3) years experience in affordable housing asset management.
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing mandates and eviction laws.
You’ll also need the following attributes :
- Strong principles, methods, practices, and techniques involved in real estate development, leasing, and strategic asset management
- Basic principles and practices of program / project planning, management, and reporting
- Extensive understanding of principles and practices involved in real estate development, leasing, and asset management.
- Understanding of principles and practices of sound business communication and real estate terminology.
- Extremely organized with ingrained ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Keen attention to detail with focused adherence to strict deadlines and procedures
- Sound problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to exercise sound independent judgment
- High level of integrity and dependability, including handling sensitive and confidential information
- Teamwork mindset and temperament to work effectively with a diverse group of people
- Effective ability to communication clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Genuine desire to work in the real estate development affordable housing industry
- Personal accountability and enthusiasm for achieving company goals

Hiring Range
Salary of $110K to $125K on an annualized basis, depending on qualifications.
