Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join our legal team. As a Personal Injury Attorney, you will handle a docket of personal injury cases ranging from negligence, premise liability, dog bites, slip &falls, 1st party claims, dec actions, etc.
Your role will be to work with your paralegal and legal assistance to move the docket forward. You will handle a case from start of litigation all the way to appeal if necessary.
Duties :
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw
- Preparing legal documents
- Review and organize case files
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and evidence
- Supervise preparation of trial materials and exhibits
- Coordinate with court personnel and opposing counsel for scheduling and case updates
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date our case management system FileVine
- Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
Requirements :
- Admitted to and in good standing with the Texas Bar
- Proven experience as a Personal Injury Attorney
- Proficiency in legal administrative tasks and procedures
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law and litigation processes
- Excellent research and writing skills for drafting legal documents
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research using various resources
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel
- Proficiency in using legal software applications for case management
- Ability to negotiate settlements
- Present well at trial
- STRONG & DETERMINED attitude as a Plaintiff Attorney (you will receive a BONUS of 3% of the Cain Firm Fees you collect, and a BONUS of 10% of the Cain Firm Fees on cases where you have empaneled a jury)
