Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled and motivated Drafter to join our growing team. This is a direct-hire, permanent position with long-term growth potential.
As a Drafter, you will work closely with our experienced Drafting Manager and will be a vital part of our drafting team, contributing to the design and execution of pre-engineered metal building projects.
Job Role and Responsibilities :
- Prepare detailed drawings and plans for structural steel and roofing projects using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
- Detail metal buildings and produce shop and construction drawings of metal buildings.
- Utilize AutoCAD 2021 (minimum requirement) for drafting; familiarity with AutoCAD 2024 is a plus.
- Work with Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with MBS is advantageous.
- Focus on pre-engineered metal buildings, including primary mainframes, trusses, and cladding.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans to create precise and detailed drawings.
- Maintain organized schedules and meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members and assist in various tasks as needed.
- Work primarily out of the office with minimal travel to job sites.
Qualifications :
- 3-5 years of experience in drafting pre-engineered metal buildings.
- Completion of an AutoCAD certification program is preferred.
- Strong understanding of pre-engineered frames and related components.
- Ability to work with architectural drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
- Highly organized, dedicated, and a strong team player.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
- Willingness to assist in various tasks and jump in where needed.
