For 30 years, IEG has been recognized as a leader in engineering for our outstanding work in collaboration with architects and other engineering disciplines.
We are currently seeking a Director of Technology Design who collaborates with the Vice Presidents of Engineering, and the production teams and provides leadership for the Technology Design Department with an emphasis on standard setting and technical mentorship.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee the operations of the Technology Design department to establish standards, train new employees, maximize efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction
- Manages and directs the Technology Design department toward the organization’s primary goals and objectives
- Promotes communication and cooperation among departments to create a cohesive organization
- Works with the Company Leadership to establish short and long-term goals
- Mitigate risk and make decisions in the best interest of our organization
- Provides client support in escalated Technology design challenges as a representative of the organization to maintain healthy client relationships
- Manage escalated client relationship conversations and any unreasonable expectations that the technology production teams are unable to handle
- Ensures the technology design department teams meet project deadlines and company expectations
- Coordinates with other Vice Presidents for technology design team support
- Coordinates with Company Leadership in technology design scope identification and proposal development
REQUIREMENTS :
- 7+ years of experience in the industry as a technology designer, K-12 market experience is a plus
- Proficient in REVIT
- Active Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification
- Proven experience in quality control, standard setting, and specifications
