Job Description
Maintain records for all external funding for the organization. Includes but not limited to federal or state appropriations, grants and other funding outside of patient service revenue.
Includes working closely with Cash to determine cash balances and net position of individual funding sources.
Work closely with other general ledger team members to be sure deferred revenues and accounts receivable are properly recorded and maintained.
Includes setting up recurring entries and adjusting accounts when cash is received and maintaining appropriate records and documentation.
Additional Job Description
A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Business-related field and three (3) years of work experience in a business-related area such accounting, business, audit or finance.
Strong analytic, communication and teamwork skills; an ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and highly complex work environment;
a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Preferred : A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with hospital / healthcare-based work experience; a working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Access and Adobe Acrobat is a plus;
MBA, MHA, CPA or CHFP designation is a plus.
