Job Duties
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center is seeking a Nutrition Service Aide. This is a wage position with no benefits. Working hours for this position will be 6 : 30 AM- 3 : 00PM, 11 : 45 AM - 8 : 15 PM and every other weekend.
Hours may not exceed 1500 in a year between May 1st April 30th.
Applicants must be available to work on weekends for the AM position from 0630 to 1500, and for the hours needed by the Culinary Department
Assist in the dining room to support the residents as necessary.
Prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, production sheets, and dietary and sanitary regulations under the supervision of the Director of Nutrition Services and supervisors.
Will be involved in the delivery of meal carts or trays to residents, washing pots and pans, assisting in the preparation and the assembly of food trays, waste removal, cleaning resident’s food trays, and assisting with basic food preparation.
Minimum Qualifications
Prior experience in food services / nutrition services.
Additional Considerations
Experience working in a long-term care facility or hospital.
