Position Summary :

The Program Manager is a pivotal member of the Departmental leadership team, collaborating closely with the Associate Chair of Administration (ACA) to develop and execute the department’s financial strategy.

This role is instrumental in overseeing daily administrative operations, contributing to strategic planning, and ensuring strict adherence to financial policies and regulations.

The incumbent will be responsible for safeguarding financial stability, upholding university and regulatory compliance, and supporting the department’s clinical, research, and teaching missions.

The position’s key responsibilities includes tasks such as budget analysis, report generation, monitoring expenditures, and collaborating with other departments on financial matters.

Additionally, the Program Manager will oversee administrative operations, provide support to departmental divisions, and manage the department’s operational and administrative staff.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in the area of assignment, of which at least one is supervisory or in a lead-worker capacity;

or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience :

  • Proficient in financial software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possessing strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, the candidate demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proven track record in problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, customer service, negotiation, and consulting is essential.
  • Experience in developing and managing various budget types, including forecasting and projection, is required.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency is a must.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience :

  • Experience with PeopleSoft preferred.
  • University and / or health care experience is preferred.
