Senior HRIS Analyst -
The Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for managing and enhancing our Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This position involves overseeing system implementation, maintenance, and optimization to support HR processes and business needs.
The Senior HRIS Analyst will work closely with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure the system meets the company's strategic goals and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HRIS management, excellent analytical skills, and a strong understanding of HR processes within an engineering consulting context.
Level :
Work requires little oversight and is collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, system security, and optimal performance.
- Lead the planning, configuration, and implementation of new HRIS modules or systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
- Analyze current HR processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and recommending system enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop, generate, and maintain complex HR reports and dashboards to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Provide expert-level support to HRIS users, resolving technical issues, and delivering training sessions to enhance user proficiency.
- Manage HRIS projects, including timeline development, resource allocation, and milestone tracking, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure HRIS compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security policies, conducting regular audits and updates as needed.
- Collaborate with HRIS vendors to troubleshoot issues, manage upgrades, and evaluate new technologies or services.
- Customize the HRIS to meet specific business needs, including configuring workflows, user roles, and access permissions.
- Work closely with HR, IT, and other departments to understand their needs and translate them into system requirements and enhancements.
Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG UltiPro, SAP SuccessFactors, Ceridian Dayforce,) and HRIS best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of data management principles.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead complex projects, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of HR processes and practices, including talent management, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance.
- Solid knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for data security.
- Strong skills in user training and support, with the ability to develop training materials and conduct effective training sessions.
- Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate service agreements to ensure optimal support and service delivery.
- Expertise in system integration techniques and experience with integrating HRIS with other business systems.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage change effectively.
Education and Experience : (Minimum qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in HRIS management, with at least 3 years in a senior role
- Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are highly desirable.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., HRIS system certifications, PMP) are a plus.
- Software Proficiency : Proficient in using HRIS software (e.g., UKG UltiPro, SAP SuccessFactors, Ceridian Dayforce, Workday, Oracle HCM) and other related tools.

- Prolonged sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to travel to various office locations.
- May need to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
