Sr. RFP Writer, Sales

Description

Supports the sales organization with developing high quality proposals $30M - $40M annual sales contract revenue of all product and solution deals generated with Request for Proposal (RFP).

This role partners closely with sales, marketing, legal, and other subject matter expert teams to solicit, review, and write responses to RFPs.

• Responds to Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Information (RFI) of all product and solution inquiries by creating proposal and information packages.
• Partners with subject matter experts cross functionally and with legal in writing and / or verifying details.
• Works with legal on NDAs, RFP document reviews, disclaimers, etc.
• Generates metric and RFP success rate reporting to senior leadership.
• Maintains the RFP response database and monitors alerts and audits.
• Identifies innovative ways for improving efficiency of proposal process.
• Coordinates with sales teams to ensure proper pricing is attached to the contract.
• Ensures compliance of company process and procedures related to contracts and revenue recognition guidelines.
• Handles complex issues and refers only the most complex issues to management.

Education Required :

• Bachelor's degree.
• Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.

Experience Required :

• 4 + years of experience researching and writing RFPs.
• Experience working with legal documents and terminology.
• Experience working with RFPIO software
• Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning Software such as Salesforce.
• Experience with software systems and technical language, aptitude.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

• Knowledge of : Company, product and industry, revenue recognition guidelines, SOX and high trust security, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) with advanced skill level.
• Skill in : Communication (excellent writing and verbal), organized, time management, task management, detail oriented.
• Ability to : Collaborate cross functionally and lead resources and subject matter experts through the process. Ability to multiple-tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
