We are seeking highly qualifiedtranslators to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess thenecessary educational background and extensive experience intranslation.
Our translators will work on translating documentsrelated to international development ensuring accuracy andhighquality output.
Responsibilities :
- Provide accurate translations of documents inthe context of international developmentactivities.
- Proofread and postedittranslated documents to ensure quality andconsistency.
- Collaborate with theproject management and web development teams to delivertranslations that meet project needs.
- Utilize and contribute to a shared termbase ofspecialized terminology.
- Ensureoutstanding quality control of translatedproducts.
- Use designatedtranslation platforms and accommodate various fileformats.
Requirements
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree with atleast 20 years of experience in translation.
- Masters degree with at least 16 years of experience intranslation.
- Ph.D. with at least 12years of experience in translation.
Skills andCompetencies :
- Proficiency in translating and proofreadingdocuments.
- Expertise in the fieldof international development is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meetdeadlines.
- Strong attention todetail and quality control.
- Familiarity with translation platforms such asCrowdin.
- Excellent communicationand collaboration skills.
Fluency in Spanish and English, withexcellent verbal and written communication skills in bothlanguages. Proven experience as an interpreter, preferably in asocial service, legal, or healthcare setting.
Understanding theunique needs and challenges faced by at-risk youth and culturalcompetency in working with diverse populations.
Ability to maintainprofessionalism, composure, and empathy in emotionally chargedsituations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail,with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritieseffectively.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and protocolsgoverning the care and protection of at-risk youth is a plus butnot a requirement.
