EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for Network Engineer in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our Germantown, MD office.
Job Responsibilities :
- Provide support and maintenance of the UAT and Production environments.
- Monitor and maintain the current GCP Pods configuration in all markets for better Ordering flow.
- Ensure configuration changes in GCP Clusters verify PODs are scaled up / down, perform IP address whitelisting and monitoring SRE alerts as requested.
- Configure and maintain F5 LTM, ASM Load balancers such as configuring / monitoring virtual servers, proles, nodes, pool members, manage SSL certificates for continuous traffic flow within the environment.
- Support the production and test environments for domestic and international business system specific to system setup, operating system installs, configuration, deployment, testing, troubleshooting and verification.
- Sync / maintain production database tables and run Oracle DB queries for any patches / issues to get necessary output.
- Automate application installation, updates, server patching and restarts.
Basic Requirements :
- Master’s degree in Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or a closely related field plus 6 months’ experience in network engineering OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or a closely related field plus 5 years’ experience in network engineering.
- Experience must include 6 months in each of the following : Putty; Splunk; Wireshark; Infoblox DNS; Linux / Windows servers;
Routing & switching; and Network security.
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
