Job Summary :
The Director of Pharmacy manages themedication use process through the planning organization managementand direction of the operations clinical activities and staff ofthe Pharmacy Department.
This role provides leadership indeveloping and implementing best practices within the professionwhile ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities :
- Develop implement evaluate andmodify the hospitals pharmacy practice to align with industry bestpractices
- Ensure legal and regulatorycompliance with federal state and local laws and accrediting bodies
- Recruit hire develop and retain competentpharmacy staff Develop implement and monitor processes and systemsto detect and prevent drug diversion
- Planorganize and direct the work of the pharmacy staff
- Create the annual budget and submit capitalexpenditures requests per policy
- Review andrevise Policy and Procedures annually or as required by hospitalbylaws
Qualifications : I. Education :
I. Education :
- Pharm. D. or BS inPharmacy required
- Masters Degree preferred
- Pharmacy residency or fellowship trainingpreferred
II.Experience :
- 5 yearsPharmacist Experience required
- 3 yearshospital Pharmacy Management experiencerequired
III.License(s) / Certification(s) :
Active CaliforniaPharmacist license required

- Strong leadership and managementskills
- Indepth knowledge of pharmacypractices and regulations
- Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
