Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the kitchen
- Ensure the highest quality of food preparation and service
- Develop and maintain recipes and menu items in line with our standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, and controlling food costs
- Train, coach, and lead kitchen staff to meet performance targets
- Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with the general manager to plan and execute special events and promotions
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling and payroll
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a kitchen manager or similar role, with a minimum of 2 years in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and safety standards
- Excellent knowledge of food and catering trends, with the ability to create and execute innovative menu items
- Experience with managing inventory, ordering, and controlling food costs to meet budget targets
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train, coach, and motivate kitchen staff to achieve performance goals
- Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe work environment
- Proficient in using restaurant management software for inventory, scheduling, and payroll
- Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is a plus but not mandatory if the candidate can demonstrate extensive experience.
