Join us as a Senior Collections Specialist!

As the Senior Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the collections activities for enterprise and federal accounts.

In this individual contributor role, you will partner with collections agents, providing guidance and support, and implementing strategies to optimize the collections process ensuring the timely and effective collection of outstanding debts from customers or clients, while maintaining positive relationships and providing excellent customer service.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success :

Oversee the collection of outstanding debts from customers or clients. Monitor the aging of accounts, review delinquent accounts, and initiate appropriate actions to recover overdue payments.

Utilize various collection methods, such as phone calls, letters, and negotiation, while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Foster positive relationships with customers or clients while effectively managing collections. Handle escalated customer inquiries or complaints, resolve issues, and maintain a high level of customer service throughout the collections process.
  • Generate reports and analyze collection data to track performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Present collection metrics and analysis to management, highlighting areas of improvement and proposing strategies for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.

To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience :

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, finance, accounting) or minimum of 4+ years equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in B2B collections, credit management, or a related field.
  • You have strong knowledge of collections principles, practices, and strategies.
  • You are familiar with debt collection laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
  • You have proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail in order to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets;

experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at / near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $61,050 - $101,750
