CME Associates is seeking a motivated and skilled Geologist to join our dynamic team in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our geology department, contributing to a variety of projects in the fields of environmental consulting, site assessment, and geotechnical engineering.

Responsibilities
- Conduct geological field investigations, including soil and rock sampling, site characterization, and subsurface exploration, utilizing a range of geotechnical and environmental equipment.
- Perform geologic and hydrogeologic data analysis, interpreting findings to generate accurate reports and recommendations for clients and project teams.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other professionals to integrate geologic information into project designs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client objectives.
- Assist in the preparation and review of technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments, providing clear and concise geological insights.
- Participate in the assessment of geologic hazards, such as landslides, erosion, and groundwater contamination, offering mitigation strategies and solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in geology, geotechnical engineering, or environmental consulting.
- Proficiency in geologic mapping, subsurface investigation techniques, and geological modeling software.
- Strong understanding of federal and state regulations pertaining to environmental and geological standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Preferred Qualifications (not required, but advantageous) :
- Professional Geologist (PG) certification or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) designation.
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial data analysis.
- Familiarity with geophysical methods and instrumentation for subsurface characterization.
- Knowledge of New Jersey's geological and hydrogeological conditions.
- Previous involvement in remediation projects and site redevelopment planning.
