Part-time

Responsibilities : Under the supervision of a Coordinator or Supervisor, serves as a master's level professional clinician performing a wide range of direct and indirect mental health and co-occurring substance abuse services within a specific program or area of assignment.

Conducts therapy, recommends referrals to various programs, program components and other services in the community. Consults with services providers.

Responsible for extensive case documentation. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program / sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements : Possession of a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is required. One year experience (professional or paraprofessional) in treating or working with persons with mental illness required or one academic year of graduate practicum / internship experience working with persons with mental illness required.

One or more years of professional experience providing crisis intervention techniques, determining hospital eligibility, performing clinical diagnostic assessments / evaluations, and brief counseling techniques is preferred.

Possession of appropriate State of Michigan credential is required. Must pass background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of : Michigan State Police clearance check, Central Registry Screening, verification of a professional license, Medicaid / Medicare verification, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history.

May be required to possess a valid Michigan driver's license. Access to reliable means of transportation for job related use required .

Must pass a State of Michigan police clearance check. May be required to be fingerprinted. May be required to pass a pre-employment physical.

May be required to possess the State Of Michigan Certified Addictions Counselor credential.

Salary / Hours : $27.46 - $31.17 an hour, 20 hours a week, one week would be Friday and Saturday the following week would be Saturday and Sunday 12 : 00 10 : 00 .
