Feed Division - General Manager
Ag 1 Source is looking for a Feed Division General Manager for a highly regarded, state-of-the-art, feed manufacturing, delivery and sales organization with multiple locations.
The chosen candidate will need a minimum of 10-15 plus years of strong, proven experience, as this role will report directly to the CEO and has the opportunity for company advancement with strong performance.
You must have 5+ years of sales management and 5+ years of operational feed mill management experience. Additional dairy industry general knowledge and experience would be a strong plus! This position will manage and oversee the high performing, multi-location, feed-milling department, operations, and nutrition sales division for the organization.
This person will be a key team member in the Leadership Group for the entire company, and will also have continued growth, expansion, strategic direction, potential M&A, total P&L, budgets, capital improvements, etc.

What will you be doing :
- Establishing and providing total leadership for the feed and ingredient division. Boots on the ground and BOD meetings!
- Manage and work with key team members in all purchasing, feed manufacturing, pricing, risk management, delivery, ingredient and commodity products, blends, and services.
- Developing and executing marketing plans & programs to enhance the growth of the organization.
- Responsibility for all safety, quality and production standards SOPs at each location working closely with EMS personnel.
- Establishing and managing the division’s profit and loss performance relative to budget expectations.
- Hiring, training, and leading a high performing team of employees.
- Establishing and managing strategic relationships with larger system clients, vendors and external business partners.
A successful candidate for this Feed Division General Manager role will possess the following :
Due to the level of responsibility in this role, the organization desires a 4 year degree in related field and 10-15 plus years experience in the high-volume feed industry.
They are requiring a minimum of 5 years of management experience in feed manufacturing, including supervising lead employees, budgeting, P&L, operational efficiencies, and experience with government feed regulations as well as 5 years of total Sales Team management with proven performance.
- B.S. degree minimum in Animal Science or Ag Business, M.S. or M.B.A. preferred.
- 5+ years of livestock industry related sales and sales management experience.
- 5+ years of operational management experience with manufacturing, warehousing, freight logistics, purchasing, inventory, loss control, etc.
- 15+ total years of overall industry experience.
- Very strong, proven track record of successfully leading teams to full potential and excellence in performance.
