Job Title : Associate Director, Advanced Media Analytics

Job Overview :

We are searching for a highly motivated individual to elevate and maintain our marketing analytics offering within the Analytics team at Bloom Ads, to serve our fast-growing client base.

Our clients are constantly evolving, and optimizing, we need to create smart models which help them make the best decisions possible with their marketing spend.

The AD, Advanced Analytics will manage a team and assist in developing new and existing statistical models aimed at driving the maximum business results for our clients.

The role will also require hands-on programming skills and model development as well as a creative mindset.

The Associate Director, Advanced Analytics plays a crucial role in executing, managing, and optimizing advertising campaigns across various platforms.

This role requires technical expertise, analytical skills, and attention to detail to ensure seamless campaign delivery and performance.

Prior experience working at a marketing agency or MEDIA consulting firm leading marketing analytic engagements and development is required.

Analytic engagements can include (but are not limited to) dashboard measurement development, in-market testing, campaign measurement, determining marketing effectiveness and ROI, customer journey analytics, CRM, digital analytics (website, mobile, app and social media), forecasting, financial analysis, and user-level analysis.

Knowledge of statistical analysis and tools like Python or SQL, and familiarity with marketing platforms’ data and terminology are required.

In addition to the technical aspects required, it will involve cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of parties including clients, internal stakeholders, 3rd-party vendors, and operational areas within Bloom Ads.

This is a high-growth and visibility role in a highly dynamic and fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage and mentor a growing and diverse team of analysts

Collaborate in the development of dashboards in visualization tools such as Tableau, Datorama

Generate clear, concise, and comprehensive analyses that tell the story behind the data

Develop and create client reports and build comprehensive presentations

Develop, train, productionize new models to be used for media optimizations and driving client business

Working closely with clients, account, and media teams to assess business and marketing challenges, discuss possible solutions, and execute a plan

Oversee team modeling outputs and inputs, working with cross-functional teams to ensure data processes are automated and efficient

Build marketing mix modeling, diminishing returns analysis, and campaign test design to assess and inform client return on media investment

Spearhead new analytical initiatives to drive actionable insights for our clients

The role will report directly to the SVP, Agency Integration with a dotted line reporting to the Director of Media Strategy

Who You Are / Requirements

Degree in a mathematical or quantitative discipline (Statistics, Economics, Predictive Analytics, etc.) - Masters preferred.

5+ years or more experience in data & analytical functions in an agency / media consulting environment with at least three years of team management experience

Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as Python and R, as well as database (SQL)

Experience with DTC and data heavy clients is a must

Ability to develop proprietary statistical models, design A / B tests, execute Marketing Mix Models and multi-touch attribution algorithms

Ability to both get the hands dirty with data and communicate with clients on their business questions

Familiarity of changing landscape of ad tech within Ad Servers (DCM), DSPs (TTD, DV360), SEM

Managing 3-5 junior analytics’ members

High-end marketing response modeling expertise, models which determine the Cost per Acquisition or Return on Investment of marketing expenditures.

Proven effectiveness in managing business relationships.

Strong storytelling skills, both in writing and presenting a strategic narrative

Experience in fast-paced environment, possessing the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Deep expertise in advertising platforms and / or the ad tech industry preferred

Media Mixed Modeling necessary

Programming / scripting experience a must (R, Python), must have expertise in data wrangling as well as regression and machine learning functions

General Business Intelligence software expertise (SQL)

Ability to be client-facing and translate technical subject matter into relatable business terminology and respond to unexpected questions on the spot

Creative thinker who is willing to challenge the norm to improve analytic processes

Proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and an entrepreneurial spirit

Skills Preferred :

Master's Degree in mathematics, statistics, data science or related field.

Additional Notes :

This role will involve collaboration with multiple teams, including account management, creative, analytics, ad ops, and sales, to ensure successful campaign execution.

Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential for this role.

Certification or familiarity with industry-standard tools and platforms a plus (Google Ads certification, Facebook Blueprint, etc.).
