Serves as the data project manager for the Maternal Child Health (MCH) team at Children's Health Alliance of Wisconsin (Alliance).

The Alliance is a statewide children's health advocacy organization affiliated with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. The data project manager will be responsible for leading efforts related to data collection processes, entry, analysis and dissemination.

Additionally, this position will provide training to staff, local and state partners on methods for improving data quality.

This position also will support staff, local and state partners in translating data into prevention recommendations. This position may support activities from other Alliance initiatives.

Primarily remote with in-person meetings and trainings as required.

Statewide travel and occasional out of state travel required (up to 25%)

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :

Appropriate education and / or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis.)

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, public health, process management, quality improvement or equivalent field with demonstrated working knowledge of research and evaluation methods.
  • Master's degree in public health with an emphasis in epidemiology is preferred.
  • Experience with data management and use to inform decision-making, communication and action steps are preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant, technical experience required on research or evaluation projects, for example, experience teaching community-based organizations to collect and enter data.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in and experience with the design of data collection tools, data management systems and strategies, and strategies for data quality and cleaning.
  • Demonstrated advanced expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Excellent computer skills and demonstrated knowledge in using data analysis packages such as, SPSS, STATA, SAS, REDCap.
  • Demonstrated effective and professional oral and written communication in English; ability to develop reports and presentations required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience in group process and facilitating work groups.
  • Experience translating data into evidence-based practices or recommendations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic quality improvement tools such as process mapping, PDSA.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of using survey collection tools such as Survey Monkey, REDCap.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
