Lead Audio Engineer

SUMMARY
The Lead Audio Engineer works under the supervision of the Production Director and alongside creative and technical teams, as well as musicians to facilitate weekly services, creative projects and events.
- This role is responsible for : Mixing Front of House (FOH) for weekend and special services / events in a variety of environments;
- overseeing quality of mix for all live and broadcast environments throughout the ministry; audio systems maintenance and implementation across all environments / campuses;
training and advising junior engineers as they grow to the standard of excellence required; working under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities and scenarios in a fast moving and flexible environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the primary live mix engineer for major events (Conferences, Live Productions) and services across Victory Church
- Manages and maintains audio equipment across all environments and campuses.
- Manages PA performance and tuning across all environments and campuses
- Identifies audio needs and resolves problems quickly
- Provides guidance, coaching and teaching within the organization regarding all things audio engineering
- Forms and maintains positive vendor and integrator relationships
- Executes the vision of the Lead Pastors and Production Director through audio mixing / sound design
- Works closely with Music Director and Producer to capture the "sound" of Victory Worship
- Proactively communicates, supports and fulfills the mission, vision, and cultural values of Victory Church
- Displays a high degree of judgment and discretion as a representative of Victory Church
- Lives out and cultivates a personal and team culture of Victory's Core Values

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience mixing on and knowledge of large format digital audio consoles i.e., SSL Live, Yamaha, Digico, and Allen & Heath.
SSL Live and Allen & Heath experience is preferred)
- 3+ years live mixing in large rooms (1000+ seats) with full band and vocals (FOH and Monitors)
- Intimate knowledge of PA deployment and DSP (L-Acoustics and D&B preferred)
- Intimate knowledge of RF deployment and management software i.e., Shure Wireless Work Bench, Wireless Systems Manager (WSM)
- Intimate knowledge of Dante Protocol
- Possess a working knowledge of audio industry standards and best practices
- Solution minded and excellent problem-solving skills
- Willing to adjust mix to match Victory's sound identity
- Intimate knowledge in running a "hybrid" FOH setup (Analog, outboard gear merged with digital consoles)
- Experience in Live Recording and Multitracking preferred
- Experience with musical-style productions a plus
