Mercy Gilbert is a modern, 212-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in the Phoenix area’s East Valley. We offer a full breadth of care, from emergency and cardiovascular to pediatric, orthopedic and diagnostic services.

Responsibilities
The Staffing Coordinator supports the nursing director in areas of acuity scheduling and staffing as well as other staffing office functions.
Responsible for managing the coordination and pre-processing of all patient admissions and / or internal placement of patient admissions transfers.
Qualifications
Minimum :
- Working knowledge of nursing care delivery systems staffing levels medical terminology and associated patient needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- HS diploma or equivalent combination of experience / education
Preferred :
- One (1) year as Staffing Coordinator or Admitting or patient placement in a hospital or health care related setting
- Typing speed of 45 wpm
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word Excel and Meditech Optilink or similar staffing program
