DESCRIPTION :
A cafeteria worker / van driver is responsible to liaison with central office staff for the daily delivery of food and other supplies to meet district operational needs.
The cafeteria worker / van driver will assist in the preparation and service of meals as needed, and may run a cash register.
Other duties include : cleaning and sanitizing workstations, putting stock away, and any other duties as assigned by the central office team or cafeteria manager.
A cafeteria worker / van driver performs duties that require lifting and / or carrying objects up to 50 pounds in weight and being on your feet for the work day.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and the position requires driving an MPS van. Applicants with knowledge of food preparation, food service, and cash handling are preferred.
Applicant must be detail-orientated and be able to follow written and oral instructions. Applicants should show accuracy and ability in working with figures, manual dexterity and be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Applicants must be in good health and free of communicable diseases.
SALARY :
Per 2024-2025 salary schedule through 6 / 30 / 24; As of 7 / 1 / 24, hourly rate will be as negotiated by union contract
