Job Description :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Business Operations Analyst for a 6-month contract position based in Columbus, OH.
This role offers a competitive pay rate of $30-$37 per hour. The ideal candidate will assist the IT management team with running the business of the department, ensuring smooth financial and cross-team processes and deliverables.
Purpose of Position :
The IT Business Operations Analyst will support the IT management team by understanding the IT organization, budgets, and department goals.
This role involves processing invoices, updating org charts, reporting and analysis, project coordination, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
Review and process IT invoices, including reviewing for accuracy, assigning GL codes, and obtaining approvals before sending to accounts payable.
Support IT leaders in general business activities such as org chart updates, financial analysis, process implementation and improvement, and project coordination.
Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives that support the goals of the IT department and the company.
Qualifications :
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an administrative, coordinator, analytical, or comparable role.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and processes; willingness and ability to learn high-level department budgeting and accounting processes.
Familiarity with IT department and project management is preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft apps such as Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Ability to learn new software systems, e.g., SmartSheet.
Ability to track and mitigate issues and risks to meet deadlines, escalating appropriately.
Ability to work independently when needed, but also in a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on common goals.
