Huckberry is looking for a dynamic Director of Marketing, responsible for our product marketing and creative campaign strategy.

This position is perfect for a visionary strategy-meets-creative leader with a deep understanding of both men’s style and the outdoor adventure landscape, and a proven track record of developing and executing innovative creative marketing campaigns across channels.

You will be responsible for setting the execution standards and product positioning strategies for our campaign ecosystem, ensuring everything we put out resonates, educates, and inspires our core audience while expanding our reach to new customers.

This role is based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX; relocation support will be provided to a remote hire

Responsibilities

  • You love a good story and know how to effectively communicate it. You will oversee and develop marketing strategies and convey via effective, inspiring briefs that drive our largest product campaigns, responsible for powering our growth goals and generating positive affinity with our core and perspective new audience targets
  • You’ve got a pulse on what’s trending and relevant in our community of brands, people, and culture. You’ll analyze market trends and consumer insights to inform marketing strategies and product positioning, ensuring Huckberry remains at the forefront of men’s style and outdoor adventure
  • You obsess over product and story. You will ensure our product positioning drives the most effective and compelling POV ensuring our customers clearly understand the value and inspiration behind the designs and product differentiators
  • You lead and inspire. You will manage across a team of product marketers and creatives, bringing product-positioning direction and driving innovation by exploring new campaign formats, deliverable platforms, and methodologies for engaging with our audience
  • No egos. You will work cross-functionally with our Brand, Product, GTM, Media, and Growth Marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of vision across platforms, and ensure campaigns execute the right deliverables based on deadlines and channel needs
  • You’re organized and strategic when looking at investment. You will oversee budgets, allocate resources efficiently across campaigns, and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to ensure a high return on investment

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in consumer marketing, ideally within product, creative, and / or and / or brand marketing, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
  • Experience working at a multi-brand retailer a strong plus
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating successful product marketing campaigns that have increased brand visibility and driven sales, while pushing creative and brand standards across all work
  • Deep understanding of and passion for men’s style, outdoor adventure, and the Huckberry brand ethos
  • Strong understanding of the various functional aspects of a marketing organization, plus digital / social media landscapes
  • Held key leadership position either driving or supporting Go-To-Market campaign strategies
  • Managed or worked directly with Creative leadership and supporting teams
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with brands, influencers, and celebrities to create impactful partnerships
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence
  • An art-meets-science mindset leveraging strong analytical skills, with marketing / creative vision; using data to back up assertions / vision
  • Nimble, yet detail-oriented; thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
