JOB SUMMARY

In this position, the Technical Writer will partner with the Quality and Engineering team members to help develop and draft work orders and job specifications internally to ensure complete and accurate sharing of information with all other departments to help create our products with 100% quality assurance and compliance with our internal and industry-required specifications.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Curate, edit and write comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.
  • Employ diagrams, drawings, and / or other visual media to improve reader comprehension.
  • Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content.
  • Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights into language for user success.
  • Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project / product requirements.
  • Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
  • Comply with document control policies and procedures related to document development, control, and revision control.
  • Comply with company, quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required skills and qualifications :

  • Two or more years of experience as an effective technical writer
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
  • Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex : design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications, or relevant technical field
