The Comp Bartender is responsible for providing food and beverage service to all our guests.
JOB DUTIES
- Greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness.
- Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed.
- Handle difficult situations effectively.
- Take beverage orders from guests.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with Brand Standard recipes.
- Prepare garnishes for drinks.
- Clear and reset tables in the Evening Reception area.
- Make specific recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to F&B Manager.
- Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
- Attend work on time as scheduled.
- Follow hotel grooming and dress standards.
- Minimize safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
- Support the environmental commitments by having the knowledge, skills, and values to be a leader in the global goal of greening the hospitality industry.
- Nametag must be worn at all times.
- Punch clock in and, ready to work no earlier than five minutes prior to the shift.
- Report to F&B Manager before ending work shift.
- Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must be able to work flexible evening shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays.
- Must work well with or without direct supervision.
- Previous bartending experience required.
- Excellent oral communication skills required.
- Positive interpersonal skills required.
- Must be neat and well groomed at all times.
- Needs to be flexible, self-motivated, and positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-workers and management.
- Must be able to maintain proper certificates or Training to serve Alcohol.
