This role can be remote or based in one of our Rehmann offices. However, there will be some required time at our client location(s) to support our projects and their organizations.
How You’ll Make an Impact :
- Developingand administeringvarious human resources plans and procedures for all company personnelin conjunction with HR Director and resources
- Supportingannual compensation program;modifyingjob descriptions;supportingannual salary surveys; analyzingcompensation;
monitoringthe performance evaluation program
- Updatingand maintainingthe personnelhandbookand all employmentpolicies and procedures as needed
- Supportingbenefits administration,includingclaimsresolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectivenessand employee engagement
- FilingEEO-1 annually; maintainingother records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations
- Participatinginemployee relationsmatters and exit interviews
- Establishingand maintainingdepartment records and reports
- Participatingin administrative staffandother meetings as needed; representingHR in discussions and projects
- Recommendingnew approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
- Supportinghiring processfor all exempt, non-exempt, temporary and student positions, including internal and external posting of positions, communication with candidates, related paperwork, working with reference checks, background checks, credential verification
- Participatingin thedesign and maintenance of the orientationprocess andsystem, andtraining and competency requirements.
- Maintainingcommunication withpayrolladministrationto ensure that all adjustments and status changes are recorded and properly;
processing payroll as needed
- Directingonboarding and offboarding processes and communicatingwith departments involved and affected by employee status changes
- SupportingHRISsystemand alignment with organizational processes,including implementation, updates, troubleshooting, communications and resolution
Your Desired Skills and Experiences :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public sector Human Resources Generalist role
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with HRIS platforms and processing payroll
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to analyze problems, exercise judgment, strategic thinking, and make sound objective decisions
- Capability to leadothers and develop strong relationships and engagement
- Strongattention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Knowledge and ability to read and understand policies,laws, regulation, and other technical issues
