The Manager of the Sharon’s Place directs the daily operations the housing programs which includes temporary independent style housing for 21 homeless women needing assistance with supports around mental health and substance use.
This position reports to the Associate Director of Interim Programs.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee all elements of daily operations in the Sharon’s Place program
- Supervise a team of staff who provide case management and other client services on site.
- Manage and maintain the staff schedule to ensure appropriate coverage for the temporary programs during its operating hours.
- Lead regular temporary program team meetings to review client cases and program operations.
- Oversee community life development for clients in the temporary programs at PHPW, planning and implementing rules development, group meetings, and activities.
- Provide daily support and advice to the staff on client cases and other operational issues.
- Coordinate with volunteers and other providers as needed to deliver services to clients
- Ensure staff enters accurate, timely, and complete information in databases as required by contract.
- Monitor progress of clients toward their long term goals.
- Monitor eligibility, admissions and utilization for the temporary programs.
- Assess needs and work with the Associate Director on the development of programming as appropriate to support and motivate residents as they work to achieve their goals.
- Facilitate client reasonable accommodation requests
- Manage client grievance reviews.
- Oversee residential-related documentation requirements, such as : database entering, incident reporting, staff logs, staff timesheets, etc.
to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in the program managers’ on-call rotation schedule.
- Participate in organization-wide meetings and committees, departmental meetings and trainings as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications :
- A combination of education and experience to include at least 5 years of relevant experience with a focus on one of the following areas : mental health, physical health, addictions, aging, trauma
- If a social worker, LGSW required and if a counselor, LGPC required
- At least 2 years of supervising of paid staff required. Experience supervising paraprofessional staff strongly preferred.
- Experience and ability with outcome based program management and evaluation
- Knowledge of DC social services resources and compliance requirements
- Excellent ability to make and maintain respectful rapport with clients and co-workers from diverse backgrounds.
- Understanding and experience working with vulnerable populations and the related issues of addiction and mental illness

Salary :
Salary is commensurate with experience. The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000.
