Salary : $65,000 to $75,000 depending on salary

Position Overview : As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions within the insurance industry.

Responsibilities :

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable / receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and insurance industry regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations relevant to the insurance industry.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 0-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the insurance industry
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
