About the Position :

This is a remote position with occasional travel to the Indianapolis, Indiana area. Candidates within a reasonable driving distance of Indianapolis are preferred.

Responsibilities :

• Provide implementation and onboarding services for our new and existing accounting clients.
• Serve as primary point of contact for our clients during the onboarding and implementation process, ensuring a smooth transition and positive experience
• Build out tools according to Milestone best practices and sync with the accounting system
• Coordinate, plan, and lead kick-off and check-in meetings
• Communicate with the customer to understand and document functional system and business requirements
• Perform system testing and facilitate testing, adoption, training, and go-live activities
• Clearly communicate deadlines, tasks and escalation items
• Participate in process documentation and improvement
• Provide recurring accounting services at the Staff Accountant level
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions for our recurring Clients
• Handle reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis
• Handle recurring journal entries
• Provide client updates, answer questions and escalate to a controller as necessary

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 2 -4 years of related experience
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting apps strongly preferred.
• College coursework in Information Systems is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with extremely strong attention to detail
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively while balancing multiple projects
• Advanced problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt to changing priorities and new systems
• Previous training experience a plus
