HRP’s Clifton Park, NY office has an immediate full-time opportunity for a compliance engineer with 0 to 3 years of experience working in a consulting firm, manufacturing operation, or combination thereof.

The candidate will have the opportunity to collect project data from client sites, navigate environmental regulations, and complete permit applications on a wide variety of projects and should possess curiosity, drive, and ambition.

Responsibilities : Work with senior level staff to develop a working knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations and guidelines, governing assigned work responsibilities in program areas including : Clean Air Act (Air emissions, calculations and permitting from various sources) EPA Risk Management Program EPRCA Tier 2 and Form R reporting Clean Water Act (storm water, wastewater, DMR’s, permitting) RCRA- Hazardous Waste and Solid Waste Management, UST’s OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) Job Requirements : Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas : Strong engineering math and chemistry skills Ability to read and interpret technical documents Strong technical writing skills Effective written and verbal communication Experience or desire to participate in Environmental, Health and Safety Training Individuals must have strong organizational, interpersonal, and oral / written communication skills and be proficient in MS Office products and appropriate professional level software.

Specific qualifications for the role include : BS degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, Meteorology, or technically related field Possess EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year of employment Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Preferred : Experience or ability to learn air and water modeling programs such as AERSCEEN, MARPLOT, SCREEN3 Experience in Environmental Compliance, preferably in a consulting environment Benefits & Company Culture : The vision of HRP Associates, Inc.
