Position Summary :
Implement United Way of Bartholomew County's "Avenues to Opportunity" program for participants who are employees of Columbus Regional Health.
Help participants establish family stability, improve their health and well-being, and build financial success with a goal to increase job retention, productivity, and career advancement.
Coach participants to set meaningful goals and address barriers that are keeping them from reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities :
- Must build trusting, productive relationships with participants and colleagues
- Must interact with participants and colleagues in a tactful and respectful manner
- Must self-manage emotions and moods during interactions
- Must behave ethically in coaching activities
- Must embrace continuous learning through self-reflection
- Must show empathy to colleagues by hearing their points of view
- Must maintain confidentiality in all sensitive information
- Must be goal-oriented
- Ability to partner with supervisors to establish SMART goals
- Demonstrated ability to meet weekly and monthly tasks
- Willingness to speak-up during supervision and discuss challenges with supervisor
- Ability to self-manage through work conflicts or crises in a timely manner
- Must build transparent and authentic communication
- Must fulfill commitments to participants and colleagues
- Must establish deep knowledge of community resources
- Must keep data management system up-to-date for participants
Education, Experience, and Skills Required :
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Three years of social service experience or equivalent
- Outstanding communication skills, oral and written
- Outstanding collaborative skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to learn data management systems
- Must have a valid Indiana Driver's License
- Must demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of United Way of Bartholomew County
