Position Summary :

Implement United Way of Bartholomew County's "Avenues to Opportunity" program for participants who are employees of Columbus Regional Health.

Help participants establish family stability, improve their health and well-being, and build financial success with a goal to increase job retention, productivity, and career advancement.

Coach participants to set meaningful goals and address barriers that are keeping them from reaching their full potential.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Must build trusting, productive relationships with participants and colleagues
  • Must interact with participants and colleagues in a tactful and respectful manner
  • Must self-manage emotions and moods during interactions
  • Must behave ethically in coaching activities
  • Must embrace continuous learning through self-reflection
  • Must show empathy to colleagues by hearing their points of view
  • Must maintain confidentiality in all sensitive information
  • Must be goal-oriented
  • Ability to partner with supervisors to establish SMART goals
  • Demonstrated ability to meet weekly and monthly tasks
  • Willingness to speak-up during supervision and discuss challenges with supervisor
  • Ability to self-manage through work conflicts or crises in a timely manner
  • Must build transparent and authentic communication
  • Must fulfill commitments to participants and colleagues
  • Must establish deep knowledge of community resources
  • Must keep data management system up-to-date for participants

Education, Experience, and Skills Required :

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Three years of social service experience or equivalent
  • Outstanding communication skills, oral and written
  • Outstanding collaborative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to learn data management systems
  • Must have a valid Indiana Driver's License
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of United Way of Bartholomew County
