Licensed Practical Nurse Float Clinic

Job Description

The Opportunity :

Saint Luke's Physician's Group is hiring a full time LPN for our float pool. The float pool provides coverage to clinics across the metro Kansas City area.

Float schedules can be aligned with clinics closet to a candidates preferred location.

As an LPN on this team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with members of a care team to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients.

The Shift :

Monday through Friday day shift 8 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.

The Work :

• Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care
• Schedules emergent need patient appointments
• Identifies learning needs for patients and families, provides advice and recommendations, and inserts intravenous access with medication administration.
• Delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice
• Enters admission orders as directed by provider
• Manages expired samples.
• May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties or other office duties as needed
• Prior LPN experience strongly preferred for the float pool.

Applicable Experience :

Less than 1 yearBasic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Licensed Practical Nurse - VariousAssociate Degree - Nursing
