Job Summary :
We are seeking a Sr. Group Manager within Procurement to support our Electronics Systems division. This leadership role involves managing a team of Global Supply Managers, overseeing supplier relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities :
Team Leadership :
Manage and mentor a team of Group Managers and Global Supply Managers.
Report to the Director of Electronics Procurement.
Strategic Management :
Drive company goals and objectives within your team, fostering a collaborative environment focused on cost, quality, delivery, and engineering capabilities.
Procurement Best Practices :
Implement sourcing strategies, RFIs, RFQs, quote analysis, program management, and financial due diligence.
Supplier Collaboration :
Work closely with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production, including issuing POs for prototypes and tooling.
Supplier Development :
Manage tooling timelines and part availability for prototype builds and production starts, addressing delays or issues proactively.
Relationship Management :
Serve as the primary contact for commercial issues with suppliers, maintaining relationships and providing regular updates on sourcing status, parts availability, and cost.
Travel Requirements :
Travel 15-25% to perform business and program reviews with suppliers.
Qualifications : Education :
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field; Master's or advanced degree preferred.
Experience :
10-12 years of Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience related to electronics systems and PCBA.
Technical Knowledge :
Strong understanding of electronics systems, PCBA, and semiconductor components, including technical and manufacturing requirements.
Leadership Skills :
Proven ability to lead teams, coach for success, and align with company objectives.
Product Launch Experience :
Demonstrated experience in New Product Introduction (NPI).
Analytical Skills :
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
Communication :
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organize and manage programs effectively.
Technical Proficiency :
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
Creative Problem-Solving :
Ability to address unforeseen challenges creatively and effectively.
