Description :
We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to join our school-based therapy team for the 2024-2025 school year.
This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week and requires a valid Colorado SLP license. Candidates with a pending application may also be considered for an interview.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ speech and language abilities to identify communication disorders and establish therapy goals.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to the specific needs of each student.
- Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student progress and effectively communicate treatment goals.
- Regularly assess and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide strategies and resources to teachers and parents to promote communication development in both classroom and home settings.
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in relevant training and workshops.
Certification Requirements :
- Valid Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license. Candidates with a pending application for licensure may also be considered.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Basic Life Support
Background Check :
Completion of a background check and clearance to work with children is mandatory.
Professional Development :
- Ongoing training in speech-language pathology practices, special education, and related fields may be beneficial.
