Data Integration and API Lead
This job is eligible for relocation assistance to aid with the costs of relocating to the Colorado Springs area.
Colorado Springs Utilities' Integration & Data Engineering team is hiring a Data Integration and API Lead to serve as our organization's lead technical expert for building and maintaining integrations.
Our team currently maintains approximately 150 integrations across the organization using Azure Integration Services, BizTalk, and Managed File Transfer while working with vendors to ensure platforms and services are up to date and operating correctly.
If you have expertise in service-oriented architecture (SOA) integration, proficiency in integration technologies (e.g., Azure Integration), and have a desire to build and maintain integrations, this may be the opportunity for you!
A day in the life of a Data Integration and API Lead may include :
- Building and / or maintaining integrations between applications along with maintaining integration platforms (e.g., Azure Integration Services, BizTalk, MFT)
- Helping define integration and dataflow architecture and evaluating vendor web services and API capabilities
- Identifying gaps in integration services and working on solutions to ensure stability as platform technologies evolve
- Assessing future API management and integration tools to include vetting capabilities against requirements and performing validation activities as needed
- Developing and managing external-facing API layer for integrations
- Serving as the point of contact for resolving issues related to integrations and API services
- Building internal, external, and third-party supplier relationships to ensure commitment and support for API and integration services
Who You Are
- Experience with building and maintaining technology integrations using system integration methods and technologies including web services, SOAP, JSON, REST, APIs, XML, automated testing frameworks, and orchestration tools
- Expertise with Azure Integration Services, BizTalk, and SOA Integration
- Knowledge of integration standards and integration architecture patterns
- Experience developing integrations in several technologies and languages (e.g., Microsoft .NET)
- Ability to compare integration approaches and assess their strengths and limitations
