What You’ll Do
- Directly manage and oversee a team of project & delivery managers and their respective projects, providing guidance and managing the success of those projects & individuals in relation to customer expectations & quality of delivery, project health, project margin, and risk management.
- Manage activities related to revenue recognition including time submissions, invoicing, and management of Microsoft investment subsidies (funding) for projects in your portfolio.
- Work across internal teams to make necessary trade-offs between short-term customer needs and long-term business growth to ensure continued customer success and project health.
- Anticipate stakeholder needs, remove obstacles, track & address risks before they become issues and manage expectations.
- Develop & implement business process improvements that increase visibility and enhance the outcome of workflows related to the customer lifecycle, project management, customer success, and repeat business opportunities.
- Oversee daily activities within delivery organization to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Solicit feedback upwards from leadership and downwards from the day-to-day team that seeks to enhance customer experience and quality of delivery.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with customers to build trusted relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technology, project management, or finance; master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in operations in consulting, systems integrators, or a cloud-focused technology or software organization, with at least 3 years in a people management role.
- Proven record of successfully multiple projects or programs at a high growth company, including responsibility for project budget / margin and profitability.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Baseline technical understanding; possess working knowledge of technical topics such as cloud computing, datacenter operations and network architecture.
This is not a technical delivery role but one in which you will be managing individuals and project managers over technical projects.
- Experience managing projects and initiatives from conception to implementation, with a focus on delivering results within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive process improvements to optimize companywide operations.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities, multitask effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer orientation with a drive to build intimacy with customer stakeholders / leadership and their organizations’ needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Expectations
- New hires in this role will complete the following certifications within the first 3-to-6 months of hire :
- Microsoft Exam AZ-900 : Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- Microsoft Exam DP-900 : Data Platform Fundamentals
- This is a non-billable client-facing management consulting / leadership role that involves day-to-day client interaction.
- This role can be expected to travel within the continental United States up to 20%, at times monthly.
