Job Summary :
As the Quality Engineer , you'll work closely with the Senior Quality Manager to drive improvements in plant Safety , Quality , and Efficiency .
You’ll ensure our products and processes meet the highest engineering and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Solve Problems : Analyze failures and implement corrective / preventive actions to address customer concerns.
- Lead Teams : Guide teams through problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions using tools like 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams.
- Innovate : Spearhead process improvements through methodologies like 5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing.
- Ensure Quality : Work with Part Qualification documents such as First Article Inspections, Gage R&R, FMEA, and control plans to ensure robust processes.
- Drive Metrics : Monitor, analyze, and communicate key quality performance indicators.
- Collaborate : Work with suppliers to enhance quality, develop inspection requirements, and resolve supplier issues through corrective actions.
- Improve Efficiency : Identify and implement projects to enhance Safety , Quality , Efficiency , and Cost .
Education and Experience :
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience : 2+ years in quality engineering, quality assurance, or continuous improvement. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus!
- Skills : Familiarity with Six Sigma principles, quality auditing, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, Capability Studies, and Statistical Process Controls.
- Certifications : ASQ or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred, along with experience in ISO or IATF environments.
