GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Learning and Development Manager provides technical leadership supporting the bank's learning management system (LMS) and quality assurance (QA) programs, including supervision of LMS administration and QA coordination.
This role is responsible for supporting, designing, developing, implementing, delivering, and maintaining content, assets, and other resources used for instructional functions.
The Learning and Development Manager works closely with the Learning and Development Director, trainers, and lines of business to develop content and facilitate delivery logistics for various training-related tasks and events and serves as an alternate training instructor in appropriate instances.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervises the operation, use, and configuration of the bank's LMS and Quality Assurance programs, including writing and maintaining technical procedures and policy documentation.
This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
2. Manages community areas within the LMS including functionality, appearance, and settings. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
3. Acquires and maintains knowledge of current technology as it applies to LMS software and systems. This duty is performed weekly, about 15% of the time.
4. Investigates and recommends enhanced learning methodologies, including AI integration. This duty is performed weekly, about 15% of the time.
5. Create training outlines, materials and develop virtual instructional methods for assigned topics. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
6. Works with subject matter experts for the purposes of gathering appropriate curriculum information. This duty is performed monthly, about 10% of the time.
7. Develops standardized LMS operational processes and procedures, guidelines, and documentation. This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time.
8. Coordinates with the Learning & Development Director on various training-related tasks including new projects and developing content and logistics for training-related events.
This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time.
9. Answer training-related questions from employees and respond to ServiceNow requests. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
10. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.
11. Completes required BSA / AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly.
12. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 5 years related experience and / or training, and 19 to 23 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy / procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format; ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Preferred Education and Experience :
- Four (4) year college degree
- Three (3) years of experience working in a virtual production and / or facilitation environment
- Strong proficiency working with Virtual meeting platforms such as, Adobe Connect, Adobe Presenter, Adobe Captivate, WebEx
- Experience managing LMS systems
Required Proficiencies :
- Applied knowledge of corporate policies, procedures and compliance regulatory requirements
- Strong writing ability with a focus on eLearning instructional design
- Highly organized, punctual, and responsible
