Participate in the clinical care of patients, under the administrative structure of the Rutgers Health Group according to a schedule determined by the Chair.
The principal activity will involve both outpatients and inpatients. The outpatient activity will be focused on headache and dizziness disorders.
There will also be several weeks per year of inpatient general neurological consultation service and coverage of the inpatient service according to a schedule determined by the Chair.
1. Establish a neurology clinic with special emphasis on headache and related disorders.
2. Participate in the teaching mission of RWJMS to the extent determined in consultation with the Department Chair. This may include teaching Neurology residents and rotating residents in the inpatient and outpatient settings and in small group seminars;
teaching medical students in inpatient and outpatient setting, in small group seminars or in formal lectures in the pre-clinical setting.
3. Participate in the community service responsibilities of the department in such areas as providing neurological care for indigent patients and teaching or advising lay community groups in the area of general neurology according to a schedule to be determined in consultation with the Chair.
4. Participate in the administrative tasks of the Department of Neurology and RWJMS. This will include membership in standing or ad hoc departmental and institutional committees as determined in consultation with the Chair and according to RWJMS By-Laws;
and attending departmental and institutional faculty meetings.
