Job Summary :
The Associate Project Manager will provide project execution support for the development of Public-Public and Public-Private (P3 / P4) Partnership programs at U.
S. Military Bases. Supports the facilitation of meetings, workshops and working groups with military and civilian stakeholders, to include local and state governments, academia, non-profits, commercial, industry, and utility company representatives.
Supports the Project Manager in creating, managing, and disbursing project data, communications, and reports. Collaborates with the Project Manager and other team members to create project deliverables that are compliant with the contract requirements.
Reports on monthly project progress and assists in tracking updates to the project's budget and expenses. Performs task analyses and research and drafts narrative reports relative to deliverables.
Notifies the Project Manager about abnormalities or variances in the planning and execution of projects, client communications, marketing, and proposals.
Supports the preparation of documents and the requirements of a project throughout its lifecycle. Collaborates with the project team to complete the project within its planned scope, schedule, and budget, while serving as a liaison for the project's technical, functional, and non-functional teams.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn. Proactively seeks out opportunities to support other Project Managers and to develop professional and career interests and related skillsets relevant to SIA's business services. In this role, you will :
- Co-lead the planning and execution of partnership development and agreement projects, policy and legislation research and consultation, client communications, marketing, outreach and education, and continuous process improvements to achieve results and attain greater return on investment for military and government clients and community partners.
- Supports P3 / P4 subject matter expert, facilitates project team meetings with potential partners, and helps steer engagement efforts and activities to achieve successful transactions between partners.
- Identifies, recommends, and works with senior management to develop opportunities to expand to new markets and business opportunities.
- Performs data collection, analysis, and technical writing in support of project deliverables.
- Provides lessons learned and best management practices to enhance project performance and return on investment for clients.
- Supports field facilitation teams and coach other team members to develop facilitation techniques and deepen understanding of partnership opportunities.
- Demonstrates leadership, cooperates, and collaborates on teams to execute project requirements, prepares, and improves facilitation materials, drafts reports, summaries, and project write ups, and creates PowerPoint briefings and other outreach materials in support of program requirements.
- Prepares and delivers oral presentations, briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with key stakeholders to secure cooperation, resolve concerns, and convey information in accordance with policy and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
