We are searching for a diligent and experienced Benefits Administrator to join our client's team in the insurance industry, based in Hicksville, New York.
This role provides an opportunity for short to long term contract employment, focusing on managing client relationships and the smooth delivery of benefits programs.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in guiding clients on employee benefit plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and resolving any related issues.
Job Summary :
The Benefit Account Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining client relationships, ensuring the smooth delivery of benefits programs, and providing expert guidance on employee benefit plans.
The role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Client Relationship Management :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their employee benefits plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Conduct regular client meetings to review benefit plans, address concerns, and provide updates on industry trends.
Benefit Program Administration :
- Manage the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee perks.
- Handle plan renewals, negotiations with benefit providers, and ensure competitive rates for clients.
- Assist in the design and implementation of custom benefits plans tailored to client needs.
Compliance and Regulatory Guidance :
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
- Provide clients with updates on legislative changes that impact their benefits plans.
Problem-Solving and Support :
- Resolve client and employee inquiries related to benefits enrollment, coverage, claims, and billing.
- Troubleshoot issues with insurance carriers, claims, and billing discrepancies.
Communication and Education :
- Develop and deliver benefits presentations, enrollment meetings, and training sessions for employees.
- Prepare and distribute educational materials to ensure employees understand their benefit options.
Data Management and Reporting :
- Maintain accurate records of client benefit plans, employee enrollments, and changes.
- Analyze benefit program performance and provide reports to clients on cost trends, usage, and recommendations for improvements.
- Proven experience in the insurance industry, specifically in the role of a Compensation & Benefits Specialist
- Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
- Familiarity with Ceridian and Cisco Webex Meetings applications
- Strong CRM skills and experience in managing customer relationships
- Demonstrated skills in auditing, benefit functions, and claim administration
- Expertise in COBRA administration and benefits administration
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in account management, ideally in the insurance industry
- Knowledge of medical benefits and the ability to explain these to clients and employees
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently when required
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make decisions under pressure
