SUMMARY
We are seeking a results-driven and solution oriented Associate Product Manager. As an Associate Product Manager, you will support product research, evaluation and development.
You will play an essential role in optimizing the customer experience at United Community Bank. Your role involves a cross-functional collaboration across all departments, including Sales, Marketing, and IT to meet business goals and address changes in customer needs and market developments.
Product management activities include establishing policies and procedures, and working with Compliance to help ensure the product and sales process is technically compliant and that potential UDAAP risk is appropriately managed.
You will also be responsible for assuring all product material is accurate and up to date.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ comparable level and experience
- Experience in developing and launching consumer and business products, including documentation and system support requirements
- Demonstrated problem solving, research and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Self-starter, driven and team player with a structured approach to achieve tight timelines and deliverables
- Proven ability to drive projects from concept to rollout in cooperation with various internal departments and external vendors
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once and prioritize delivery based on key objectives
- Experience in process management, Green Belt Certification preferred
- Management reporting skills and ability to prepare presentations, business cases and proposals
- Possess data analysis skills necessary to develop well-supported proposals
- Knowledge of compliance issues related to all areas of banking
- Excellent written and verbal skills required, including strong business management presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required. Experience with SQL Server and Cognos is preferred.
- Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act / anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars / conferences, etc.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Work with various business lines and departments to enhance existing community banking products, services, programs and offers to market based on business strategy, industry experience, market analysis, customer analysis / needs identification.
- Support new product introductions. Perform research and prepare product business requirements and process flows for new product introductions or product modifications
- Oversee multiple products offered within Community Banking. This includes responsibility for : Ensuring compliant operation of product, including strict adherence with product policies and guidelines to ensure all legal, compliance and audit standards are met;
- Product documentation & product process descriptions;Product design;Product marketing, including sales delivery and related training;
andProduct monitoring, including sufficient reporting to monitor sales and risk.
- Analyze competitive landscape, industry trends and market demand
- Coordinates with training and others to educate internal personnel about new products, services, programs and offers to ensure effective introduction of new initiatives
- Maintain oversight of disclosure and change in terms communication strategies and execution relating to product and policy changes
