The API Product Marketing team is part of the Product Strategy and Operations (PSO) organization and is responsible for building APIs that enable developers to build solutions customized to their needs.
Our goal is to empower developers and establish a developer ecosystem. About the roleWe are on the lookout for a Product Marketing Manager to steer product strategy and go-to-market initiatives for our API offerings.
This role involves guiding the entire product lifecycle, from pinpointing customer needs and collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers during product development to executing go-to-market strategies and launching APIs globally.
Typically broken into inbound, product testing (alphas / betas), and outbound, this person will have the opportunity to be the expert on the customer needs and use market insights to shape what solutions to build and bring to market for developers.
Responsibilities : Product Strategy and Go-to-Market Execution : - Devise and implement product strategy and go-to-market plans for our API products.
- Create compelling value propositions, positioning, and messaging that resonate with our various developer and advertiser segments.
- Formulate and execute go-to-market strategies tailored to our products, ensuring they meet customer needs and align with market trends.
- Set success metrics and define clear objectives for API product adoption. - Promote global product adoption using tactics like sales enablement, content creation, webinars, and client workshops.
Collaboration Across Functions : - Engage with key internal partners, such as Product Managers, Engineers, and Sales, to grasp customer needs and set shared goals.
- Partner with the sales team to deeply understand target markets, unearth industry-specific opportunities and leverage insights to fuel revenue growth.
- Work with various teams to produce marketing materials, analyze data, and prepare external documentation.Innovation and Product Testing : - Spearhead alpha / beta testing projects with clearly defined objectives, capturing early feedback for product innovation and refinement.
- Ensure scalability through robust testing methodologies and continuous feedback loops.Market Insight and Strategy : - Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, including developing customer personas, sizing opportunities, gathering customer feedback, and tracking competitor movements.
- Use market insights to inform the product strategy, vision, and roadmap, ensuring they align with customer demands and stand out in the competitive landscape.
Minimum Qualifications : - A BA / BS degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business, Communication, or other relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in product marketing or product management, preferably with digital ad products.- Familiarity with the digital advertising landscape.
- Competence in managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and excelling in a fast-paced environment.- Ability to lead initiatives, coordinate with different teams, and introduce innovative concepts.
- A strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and the broader product ecosystem.- Demonstrated proficiency in persuading teams about the strategic importance of APIs, through compelling presentations, stakeholder collaboration, and refined communication strategies.
- Proactiveness in initiating research, leading cross-functional analyses, positioning products strategically, and driving comprehensive go-to-market plans.
Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in API management, microservices, developer and / or integration technologies
