JOB SUMMARY :
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Client's Engineering team of 13, focusing on our API Gateway project based in San Diego.
This role demands hands-on experience in CI / CD management, cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, and containerization with Kubernetes.
The position requires on-site work with the possibility of initial hybrid scheduling, a strong foundation in scripting languages like Python and Groovy, and proficiency in automating deployment and integration processes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Automate the CI / CD pipeline using Jenkins and troubleshoot issues, emphasizing release, rollback, and hotfix processes.
- Develop, design, and evaluate automation scripts and systems, ensuring scalable applications and integration with infrastructure builds.
- Maintain and manage cloud infrastructure with a strong command over AWS and Kubernetes, implementing and integrating new technologies for improved performance.
- Engage with multiple teams to understand requirements, solve problems, and implement automation solutions.
- Provide guidance and support to new team members, actively participating in team meetings and operational reviews.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- Proficiency in Jenkins and Groovy for pipeline automation.
- Strong scripting skills in Python; Java knowledge is a plus.
- Extensive experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Previous experience in DevOps roles, particularly with background in software engineering or system engineering focusing on cloud infrastructure, API gateway projects, and continuous integration and deployment.
